GOHI Collection 2017-04-27T02:37:06+00:00

What materials are part of the GOHI collection?

The GOHI collection contains three-dimensional objects, archival materials (i.e. photographs, journals, etc.), and printed materials (i.e. organizational publications)

How can I donate?

If you are interested in donating, please contact Eric Feingold, History Curator.  He works with our GOHI collection and can be reached via email (efeingold@ohiohistory.org) or phone (614.298.2072).  Eric will explain the donation process and solicit information about the material(s) you are interested in donating.  Important:  please do not leave donation materials without completing the “Donation Interest Form.”

Why do I have to fill out a “Donation Interest Form”?

The “Donation Interest Form” contains your contact information, which will allow the curator to get in touch with you and learn more about your donation materials.  Furthermore, our curators receive many donation offers, so it is important we document that an individual has left his or her material(s) with us.

When will I get to see my material(s) on display at the Ohio History Center or another site?

For a number of reasons, such as preservation, we can never guarantee an object/archival materials will be part of an exhibit or display.  However, our collection is always available for researchers.  By scheduling an appointment with a curator, they can visit our collections facilities to view the piece(s) more closely.

If you have any more questions, please contact Eric Feingold (efeingold@ohiohistory.org) or (614.298.2072).  Thank you for your interest in helping us expand our collection and sparking discovery of Ohio’s stories.
